September 18: All 2nd grade students will be receiving a bike from Wish for Wheels!
Parents of 2nd grade students please be on the lookout for permission slips as well as notifications on how to get the bikes home ( especially bus riders.)
September 20 from 9:30-10:30 a.m.: Unidos Parent Meeting in the Conference Room
September 26 at 5-7 p.m.: Fiesta Hispanica
September 27: No school for students due to a Professional Day.
October 4: Picture Day, Uniform Required
October 4 from 8:30-9:30 a.m.: Chats with Principal Diaz
October 10: No Class for Students, Professional Learning Day
October 11-14: No Class for Students, Fall Break
School Performance Framework, or SPF, Rating
Swansea Elementary’s SPF rating will be available soon! When the SPF rating is finalized, we will publish the information.
Mark Your Calendar: No School for Students
There will be no school for students on September 27 and October 10 due to Staff Professional Learning Days, and Fall Break will be October 11 and 14. This means there is no class for students on October 10-14.
Parent Teacher Home Visits
Parent Teacher Home Visits, or PTHV, will be taking place next week, September 16-20. PTHV are optional for parents to coordinate with teachers. However, we encourage parents to participate as it strengthens relationships, shifts mindsets and improves student outcomes. Teachers meet with parents to discuss goals for students as well as to get to know the whole family. Families should reach out to teachers if they wish to participate and have not heard from their student’s teacher. PTHV are informal and do not have to take place in a family’s home. Visits can be held in a public space if the family prefers!
